Gamer-Con is a European project that supports young people’s social well-being and mental health (18–25) through gaming. Using video games as a medium, Gamer-Con creates inclusive social events to combat loneliness and isolation, particularly in periods of life transition. The project also develops resources for youth workers to integrate mental health discussions into their daily practice through the concept of “embedded well-being.”
The project is funded by Erasmus+ and involves organisations from Iceland, Spain, and Ireland. It targets young people at risk of social disconnection, as well as youth workers who support them.
Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Neither the European Union nor EACEA can be held responsible for them.
